Cyberbullying research

In 2008, Ifos supported a National Campaign in order to sensitize youth awareness of Cyberbullying.

It is a new phenomenon which involves only some national and international researches.

Ifos team administered questionnaires in order to detect cyberbullying behaviour in lower secondary school and high school students (age between 11 and 15 years old), beginning from January 2008 in Marche, Sardinia, Lazio, Sicily, Umbria, Lombardia, Calabria.

The team which has been committed to the quest of cyberbullying is composed by school nurses and legal professionals which improved their studies through Ifos section training.

Research outcomes will be published online on May, 2008.

In May 2008 teachers of the schools involved in cyberbullying research will have the possibility to participate in a free cyberbullying seminar with a team of Ifos professionals.

The seminar will deal with the following subjects:

• Cyberbullying typologies and risk indicators;
• Safety committee againest cyberbullying;
• Legal aspects.
• National research outcomes.
